Does Sudoku Showdown cost anything?

The app is free, with no ads. Single-player works fully offline.

How does a multiplayer “showdown” work?

You and your opponent get the same puzzle and race it independently, so no one sees the other's board. When you both finish, the app compares your times, hints, and mistakes. You can play with a friend (by username or invite) or get matched with a random player.

Do I need an account?

No. The app creates a fun display name like baller#1234 for you. There's no email or password and nothing to sign up for.

How do I add a friend?

Open the multiplayer section and add each other by username. Your saved friends list lives on your device.

A multiplayer match won't connect.

Multiplayer needs an internet connection. If matchmaking stalls, check your connection and try again. Single-player never needs a connection. If it keeps happening, email us the details below.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting the app removes all local data (games, stats, preferences, saved friends). The multiplayer service keeps only short-lived, anonymous match state. To request removal of anything you believe relates to you, email privacy@expressocodes.xyz. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad on iOS 17 or later, and Android phones on recent versions of Android.
